I seem to have an obsession with decorating my bathroom. It is the most "done" room in my house by far. I've painted it twice, the linens all coordinate, everything "goes". Maybe because it's the smallest room in the house, so it's the easiest. Or the cheapest, whichever.
Here is the newest addition to my bathroom!
I got them here, and I just love them! I got two sets, one for the bathroom and one for the school room when we get it done. I just love them! Here you can see my lovely paint job with the scallops on the ceiling. Now I promise to stop spending money on the bathroom!
Except when I re-do the flooring.....

New special plate
Okay, so when you don't blog in a week you have a lot to talk about!
Valentine's day was the best ever. My Sweetie brought home bagels and strawberry cream cheese (I can't have chocolate. *sigh*), and roses and THE plate. When I was a kid we had a special plate. It was the plate we got to use at dinner on our birthdays or whenever there was any thing special. And Mom got rid of it when she moved! I couldn't believe it! It was that plate that inspired the color scheme that I have decorated with for the last eight years!
My sweet wonderful husband found one exactly like it. I have it hanging above my kitchen window!
I made homemade Chinese food with homemade fortune cookies for Valentine's dinner. It was so much fun! What a perfect dinner to put on my new plate! I wish I had taken pictures, but I didn't.
And I made these for my shop. Meet Hazel and Pansy!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I was reading Monica's blog, one of my very favorites, and she's been doing all these wonderful things for Valentine' Day and I realized that I hadn't done a thing!
So I made this. It's just craft foam cut into hearts with foam stickers, glued onto ribbon. Super easy and it's pink and makes me happy.
The girls made their Daddy about 6 valentine's each and I had foam sticker all over the place yesterday, but it was great fun. And Daddy was very pleased.

Spring!
The sun is shining, the snow is melting and I'm getting seed catalogs in the mail, spring is coming! I can feel it!
I heard on the news this has been the snowiest winter in this area since 1954 and we've had 10 feet of snow. We usually get half that. North Idaho has been declared a state of emergency. We're already having flooding issues and less than half the snow has melted in the valley. The mountains haven't even really started yet! If I hear any whining about the drought again this summer I am going to laugh my head off.

Nature babies
Meet Poppy and Posy.
I have this great idea to make a bunch of different dolls with nature themes and embroidery on their chests. These are flowers if you couldn't tell. I also want to do trees, suns and ponds, but I won't give away too many details because I don't want anyone to steal my idea! It's going to be great though.

Randomness
Here is the prize that Dawn picked. I just love the embroidery on the front pocket! I'm glad you picked that one Dawn.
Of course the other choice was nice too. It'll be on my shop later today hopefully.
She also had the choice of a $20 gift certificate to my shop in case you were wondering.
Diane from Out Of The Loop Group wanted to see the vintage pillowcase from my daughters bed. Here it is! lol
I made it into a child's apron and a pin cushion to enter into Handmade Parade's vintage pillowcase challenge. Which reminds me that I haven't sent pictures of the pin cushion yet. I'd better get on that.
Okay, I'm done rambling, you may continue with your lives.

Winners
Okay, the moment you've all been waiting for. The grand prize winner is...drumroll please...Dawn! I've sent her an email and she's picking her prize. I'll post it once she chooses.
There were so many lovely choices that I couldn't give a prize to just one person, but I also couldn't give prizes to all seven, so I've chosen three runners up who will get gift certificates to my shop. Those runners up are Holly, Aimee, and Jaquie. I've emailed them as well.
And to everyone else, you did a really good job. Thank you for entering. Round of applause for Brynne, Edie, and Rita!

One last minute entry
Here it is.
Rita made this hot water bottle cover made from a felted cashmere sweater. She hand embroidered the flower. You can see more of her projects on her flickr site.
I'll post the winner later this morning.

Little bit of creativity
My Sweetheart got me flowers the other day. Isn't he sweet?
Here's a blanket I made for a baby shower. I got lots of compliments on it. One lady even said she hated me. Great. Thanks for that.
Oh well, it was the same lady who patted my tummy and told me that I look so cute when I'm pregnant and when I told her that I wasn't she said "I know I was only kidding."
I just ignore her now. She must just have foot in mouth disease.
