*sigh*

I am so stinkin' frustrated.  I have been working SO hard on my spring collection.  I've been making patterns, dyeing (dying?) fabric, bought a tripod, been looking for a model, etc., but I don't get very far before my kidney starts hurting.

My kidney looks like this except with little rocks in it

When it hurts a little bit, I can't stand at my work table to do anything.  When it hurts moderately, I can't sit up straight at my sewing machine.  When it hurts a lot I have to take major pain killers and then I can't think or stay awake.

That really makes it hard to get any work done!  It's also not helping with my weight loss goals.  I may just have to be content 10 lbs over "healthy and normal", which sucks too.

Anyway, I'm feeling very discouraged.  If I can't even get my dishes done in time for dinner, how am I supposed to get my spring collection done in time for spring?  Some days aren't so bad.  Some days I'm totally couch ridden.  And it usually goes on for months.  Maybe I should abandon the idea of being an independent fashion designer.  I've already given up tailoring and dressmaking because I can't meet deadlines.  I don't know.
*sigh*

PS, I normally try to make all my posts fun and uplifting, so I hope you'll get a chuckle from my pictures.  I really do want some feed back though.  I don't know if I should just give up or what!

  2. Sorry, I wouldn't know what advice to give. :-) You are an amazing woman, and I should be getting advice from you. LOL

  3. OK. Advice. Spring line may be too ambitious right now. Let this batch of stones pass and then reassess. A fall line? Maybe.

  4. Agree with Tana. No sense creating more stress. For fun, do some Spring fashion for yourself and focus on your busy upcoming summer and the new adventure. I'm sure you're already feeling better as sharing the weight usually lightens it.

  5. Maybe a Spring 2011 line isn't in the cards, but Spring 2012 isn't too far away, really, in the eternal sense. Just spread out the designing onto the couch ridden days (you can draw while reclining), pattern making and sewing when you aren't doubled over in pain...and slowly but surely you'll get it done. It might just turn out better because you won't be so rushed! Good luck! I am sorry you've been having problems. I wish I could help! :) Love ya!

  6. Don't give up Cheyenne! Just take it slower like photomama said! You are amazing and beautiful! I wish I was your size, you are a great size! I know it's not easy when you are sick, and miserable and not happy with what your look like and feel like; I go through that a lot too so if you ever need someone to talk to I am a good listener! HUGS! Love you!
