So I thought I'd try my hand at fiber art. What do you think? Is there a market for it? I think it's beautiful but I want to know what you think. I thought I'd try and have a whole line ready for Mother's day
I think it is lovely...however, I would add a mat around the embroidery and frame it in a non-white frame. It seems a little sterile and bland. I think if you used a mat that complemented either the green or the red in it and then used a non-white frame it would make it just POP! Also, I would also try doing a bracket type thing (like corner borders of similar flowers or swirls of ivy) around the central flower and then putting it in a matted frame with the mat cut slightly bigger than where the "bracket" ends. I think if there is a consignment shop in town it may do well. Something like this made into a "Victorian" style pillow with lace and such would be just lovely. I think it is a great, great start!
